FAQ

  • The Matchbox is a collective of muralists, street artists, signwriters and painters who came together to share work and resources. This website is an online portfolio of all our work, as well as a place to find helpful project information. We are not an agency so do not take a commission, however each member pays a small subscription that goes towards the running of the site and the promotion of our services.

  • The Matchbox has a number of fantastic practitioners on it’s roster. Find them all under our ‘Artist’ page. Here, each artist has a profile page with their contact info and a selection of work. Found someone you like? Great, that’s our job finished. It’s time for you to reach out to your chosen artist directly. The best way to do so is to visit their website. However to make things easier, we’ve added a direct link to compose an email.

  • Thinking about starting a large art project? That’s great, you’ve come to the right place! Download our handy checklist so you know exactly how to commission one of our artists.

  • The Matchbox is made up of a group of individual professional artists who came up with the idea of an online catalogue to solve 2 issues commonly dealt with. 1 getting our work seen by more potential clients and 2 cutting out any dead-ends by providing all the information needed to either be or hire muralists all in one place.

  • The money from each member goes towards the set monthly payments of hosting, domain and marketing the site. Anything left is then attributed to the administrator who’s responsibilities include general management, data entry and social media.

  • This website is a catalogue of professional artists/businesses. Once a client has found their perfect match in an artist, it is not the responsibility of The Matchbox to manage or organise communications or projects. Any issues with an individual artist/project are to be dealt with through the/with the parties involved.
